With plenty of heartfelt moments keeping things interesting, the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards have named this year’s winners - with Kate Winslet, Mickey Rourke and “Slumdog Millionaires” taking home the show’s top prizes.
The night saw its most emotional moment when the late Heath Ledger was named as this year’s Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.
Of the posthumous award, “Dark Knight” director Christopher Nolan accepted the award saying that he was doing so with “a mixture of sadness and incredible pride.”

Girls just wanna’ have fun, and that’s exactly what the lovely young  Emma Watson is doing.
Turning 18 less than year ago, the actress went out to multiple clubs last night such as Whisky Mist in Mayfair and Bungalow 8, then struggled walking home at 2:30 am.
The “Harry Potter” star was glammed up on her way to the clubs, but reportedly left looking a little worse for wear.
Since turning 18 last April, Miss Watson has become a regular on London’s party scene, as well as at the front row fashion shows in Paris.
The young actress says that, although she has a social status, she is absolutely no party girl. She told the Mail on Sunday’s Live magazine, “’I’m not tempted by parties or drugs. I don’t actually like being drunk, particularly in public.”
Although Watson was a bit disheveled leaving, she says, “But I do understand why people get sucked into a party lifestyle. I can see how it happens so I’d never criticize someone who gets into all that. It can be pretty tough.”
As she turned 18, Emma has had many other interesting offers – but cannot see herself as a sex symbol to the media. Explaining, she said, “I know everyone wants a picture of me in a mini skirt. But that’s not me. It’s nothing to do with protecting the Hermoine image. I’d never go out in a miniskirt.”
Watson is also taking a break from education, although she just received her A levels last year and wants to go to a university soon. “ I actually think going to a university will make me a better actress. The experience of living like that, working to deadlines, living with other students. It’s all the things I want.”
Also happening in Watson’s life is an approach by Greenpeace to become an ambassador for the environmental charity. “Emma would be perfect for us. She’s posh, pretty, brainy, and committed. She’s also not too star struck to care if it’s seen as vaguely controversial. She would really help.”
Meanwhile, Emma will next to be seen playing Hermione Granger in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” in July.

OUCH! Wino's wounds - which were covered in sand - look like they need a good cleaning. Then again, so does the rest of her, as do her internal organs.
One visitor at the resort where she's saying said, "Amys wounds looked so painfully sore - she really should cover them up or get herself under an umbrella. They were covered in sand. We couldnt believe she wasnt keeling over in pain."

Designed to counter the commercial released last week by the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) “A Gathering Storm,” Californians Against Hate will launch its own advertising campaign beginning tomorrow in: New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Delaware, Rhode Island and Maine. “We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) established the National Organization for Marriage as its front group in order to qualify Proposition 8 for ballot last year in California,” said Fred Karger, Founder of Californians Against Hate. “After spending several million dollars in California, NOM recently moved into 7 Northeast States considering marriage equality.

They lost in Vermont on April 7th, when the Legislature voted to override Governor Jim Douglas’ veto the very next day. Vermont became the 4th state in the nation to allow same-sex couples the right to marry. NOM was very active in Vermont, paying for a massive advertising campaign, including radio, direct mail and robo-calling everyone in the state with a recorded message. Political experts think that their heavy--handed tactics backfired, and they lost because of it.

Now NOM is charging into 6 more Northeast states. So tomorrow, April 18th, on the 234th anniversary of Paul Revere’s famous midnight ride from Boston to Lexington, we will begin our online advertising campaign. Our ad harkens back to 1775 when a brave Paul Revere rode his horse to warn of the attack by the British. We wrote our own version of Longfellow’s famous poem “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere,” entitled, “The Mormons are Coming, The Mormons are Coming.

The alleged practice of GameStop lending new copies of games to employees at their stores and then later selling those games as new, unused copies, may be a violation of federal law.
GameStops policy, confirmed to Kotaku by a number of the chains managers and employees, could fall under scrutiny of the Federal Trade Commission.

The FTCs Bureau of Consumer Protection is mandated to protect consumers against unfair or deceptive acts or practices in commerce. Violations of FTC restrictions are a violation of federal law, according to the commission.
The Federal Trade Commission protects consumers from unfair or deceptive advertising and marketing practices, and we encourage any consumer with a complaint about a companys business practices to contact us, said FTC public affairs specialist Betsy Lordan.
Lordan said she was unable to confirm or deny the existence of any investigation that the commission is conducting. As a rule the FTC does not comment on the conduct of a particular business.

Andrew Gallo, the drunk who killed Nick Adenhart, along with two other people, and left a third fight for his life, has been charged with three counts of murder. Gallo faces up to 55 years to life in prison. The Orange County District Attorney says Gallos blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit.
In addition to murder charges, Gallo is charged with driving under the influence, causing bodily injury, driving with a blood alcohol level above .08%, and fleeing the scene of an accident he caused. After fleeing the scene of the accident, he was later arrested.
Gallo was driving on a suspended license because of a prior DUI.
We still havent seen any reports confirming that Gallow was an illegal alien who fled the accident scene to avoid deportation. An illegal is supposed to be deported anytime they are convicted of a felony, such as a DUI.

So far, my week has been going good, and guess what? I feel like writing again, and well here I amwritting. Not much has really happened but my day has been almost better than any other day, and the week has been quite peaceful, and my astrology has been so perfect.
I had a talk with Doe, and although I don t know any other way to put itwe the beef. Her and I were still very civil about the situation, and I have mention that I missed her so its been alright just it being the way it is.
A stranger has popped back in to my life but I dont want to mention her yet, cause Im a bit uneasy on the entire situation. Ill see how it goes and when I feel as if its worth dispersioneh you know the rest.
Lately, Ive found myself having a bit of an infatuation with this girl that lives in a dorm on my hill. Shes tall with a nice slim waist, and a nice apple-bottom to go with it. Her brown skin glows so brightly and Im having a nice time looking at her.Im going to call her .  Why the name? Every time Im around her shes smiling. I catch her staring at me when Im walking by and spitting sly remarks at my back, only waiting for me to turn around and acknowledge her, and I do.
The only thing that could be ridiculous, and devious about the situation is that shes taken. I actually dont mind. I know that sounds so bad, like Im over stepping alot of things that I probably had decided to not do, but its not my relationship. And because it isnt Im not gonna act on my thoughts. Smiley makes me smile, and shes sweet and innocentI just wonder why she went out of her way to find my number and text me every chance she getsI dont mind though, Im enjoying the attention.
Im enjoying all the attention Im gettings kind of hard sayin this shit to your face, so I do it over snares and bass, music take me away.

After Mr. Piven was diagnosed with a potentially toxic Mercury level, he reluctantly left SPEED-THE-PLOW at the insistence of his doctors, who warned him that enforced rest was required to avoid severe medical problems, including a heart attack. Mr. Piven is looking forward to testifying in Arbitration along with his doctors so that the truth comes out about the very health serious risks caused by Mercury exposure, which the Obama administration has recently described as the world's gravest chemical problem.
Starting back in December, Mr. Piven repeatedly offered to turn over his medical records to the Producers subject to an appropriate confidentiality agreement. The Producers repeatedly rejected that proposal. It is obvious that the Producers did not really want the medical records Mr. Piven volunteered to provide, since those records would confirm the medical necessity of his withdrawal from the show. The Producers' recent statement claiming that they had offered to keep the medical records private is nothing more than PR "spin." We have confirmed with Actors Equity today that the Union is not aware of any such confidentiality proposal by the Producers.
In addition to repeatedly offering his medical records subject to a confidentiality agreement to prevent the Producers from disseminating them to the media, Mr. Piven had also repeatedly offered to be examined by a doctor designated by the Producers both before, during and after his hospitalization for toxic Mercury levels. The Producers never took him up on that offer.
The fact that the Producers issued a statement announcing the Arbitration dates suggests that this is part of a punitive strategy to intimidate actors so that they ignore serious health symptoms and the advice of medical professionals due to fear that they will be sued.

Kasha was incensed by these claims: "I have spent a long time as a leader in the gay struggle in Uganda and sometimes we cannot afford to do our advocacy work because of lack of funds," she said. The rest of the workshop was dominated by Don Schmierer, a member of the board of the American "ex-gay" organization, Exodus International. His presentation was focused around his understanding of family morals and values. He told participants that one of the biggest causes of homosexuality is the lack of "good upbringin" in families—children should be brought up in proper Christian ways. He said that 56% of homosexuals experience abuse and violence in their families during their childhood. The abuse leads to pain, anger and hatred in the life of a child and this turns them into homosexuals.
