Michael Jackson and his parents, Katherine and Joseph, in a 2005 photo.
While Michael Jackson reportedly died with $400-500 million in debt, the value of his vast assets likely outweigh that by $200 million or more.
The 2002 will could be submitted to court as early as Thursday. John Branca has said he will file it within 30 days of the singer's tragic death.
Meanwhile, fans of Michael Jackson - those who choose to live, anyway - will get a chance to take part in laying him to rest when the singer's family organizes a public viewing of his body at Jackson's Neverland ranch near Santa Barbara.
Citing the Santa Barbara's Sherriff Department, E! Online says plans are underway to accommodate large crowds at the estate for a Friday viewing.
"Our guys are meeting as we speak with the California Highway Patrol to discuss the security issues," says Lt. Butch Arnoldi, a department spokesman.
Earlier in the week, Michael Jackson's brothers Jermaine and Tito visited the property and a delivery truck was spotted dropping off boxes, E! reports.
CNN reports a public viewing of the late music icon will held on Friday at Neverland, with a private service for the family to follow on Sunday.

I keep hearing about these summer shows coming up that I didn't even know existed. Like this one. It's a new reality show from Mike Fleiss (The Bachelor, etc) called There Goes The Neighborhood. They actually put up a twenty foot wall around a neighborhood in Atlanta, GA and cut off all of the residents from the outside world completely (though I wonder if it's really completely or just enough-to-play-the-game completely). The residents will have to interact with each other more than they probably have in the past and will also try to win money and prizes.
This could be an interesting experiment or a reality show-themed episode of The Twilight Zone: "Who Wants To Be A Monster On Mulberry Street.

Continuing her beach romp, Katie Price was spotted prancing around the beach on the Spanish island of Ibiza this afternoon (June 17).
And though she looks to be doing quite well since her divorce, Katies ex-husband Peter Andre seems to be taking it much harder.
He told press, I am still reeling from everything thats happening in my personal life, but I have to focus and stay really strong for the children. My appetite is pretty small at the moment and I still weigh 14 lbs less than I did a month ago. But Im trying my very best to eat well and to exercise regularly.
Miss Price also alluded to the fact that the details of the split are still under wraps, though someday the truth will come out. Through everything thats happened I know who my real friends are. Id like to thank everyone for their support and until the truth comes out, no one should judge - and it will come out eventually.

NASCAR.com, driver Matt Kenseth and his wife Katie are expecting their first baby together next month. Not wanting to give away the exact due date, Matt says he knows he “can't really control when the baby comes that much, so [he's] just going to play it by ear.” He adds, “We'll find out when you guys do, I guess.”
Matt and his wife have also decided not to find out the sex of the baby: “There aren’t many surprises left in life, so we’re going to wait to find out. We talked about it [and] we don’t really want to find out. Neither of us really cares if it’s a girl or a boy. If it’s healthy, that’s all we really care about.”
Matt, 37, has a 16-year-old son, Ross, from a previous relationship. He and Katie have been married for eight years.

Reading up on the subject is never a bad idea, and Constance also recommends seeking out others who are in a similar situation even if its just online. Lastly, she suggests that women should be realistic about their window of fertility. I totally support women working on their relationships, their careers, or whatever they need to do to be healthy moms, she says, but its also important to realize you may not have as much time as you think.
Constance who conceived Luna on her third IVF trial after two miscarriages and an unsuccessful attempt with Clomid also credits a for helping her to become pregnant. I did acupuncture throughout the process, started eating organically, cut out fish because of the mercury, did a liver-gall bladder detox cleanse, and stopped drinking out of plastic bottles and got rid of all my Tupperware, she explains, citing BPA concerns. I also tried Japanese enzyme baths, where you get buried up to your neck in wood shavings and enzymes, which pull toxins out of your body when theyre heated you feel amazing afterward!
A healthy home is every bit as much a priority now that Luna is on the scene. I learned so much about the toxicity of our environment while trying to get pregnant, I didnt want to do anything to mess up the kid now that she was finally here, Constance says.

Today, I Twittered about a Theology of Scotch fundraiser I am hosting for Kalein in Franklin, TN. The Twitter updated my Facebook page and I received a personal message. The correspondence was great and I asked this mom's permission to reprint it for all of us to learn.
John,
God has gifted you with an incredible anointing to take people by the voice and lead them into worshipping at the feet of the Lord. You've been so blessed with skill, with creativity, with intelligence and I want to thank you for sharing those gifts with us.
I am hoping that you might take a moment and think about something that's been on my heart lately. A lot of people have you on their Facebook. Their kids, relatives, spouses, all read your communications.
Here's the hard part, John. I think, that maybe if you'll review your comments over time, you might see a pattern of commenting a lot on alcohol use, which IS NOT, in and of itself something bad. We are free in Christ to do many things, some of which are profitable, some, not so much.
Kids, John . . . they look UP to you. There are people, spouses, kids who read what you write every single day, but really struggle with drinking and it's almost like your stamp of approval makes it ' ok " for them to do the same. Remember . . . kids are followers.
I know you don't want to be a stumbling block for them, or anyone. It's just that it seems to overwhelm your comments from time to time and I'm not sure that's the kind of emphasis you really want to put on life...that it's better with drinking in it. Just food ( or drink ) for thought from someone who cares very much. Maybe ask a pal to look things over and get their thoughts?
We love you!
XXXXX
XXXXX,
First off, thanks for your concern and the kind way you expressed these thoughts. Hopefully, I will respond with the same kindness and care. Im a big fan of words . . . they mean something. If anything doesnt sit right, please call me at (xxx)-xxx-xxxx. As always, written words without non-verbal expression and emotional context leave room for error.
My father is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict who is now a Jesus lover. (Other family as well). I have seen the hell people unleash with abuse. I grew up watering pot plants and recycling Coors cans to make extra cashthey were my Im no stranger to the danger. It sounds like you might have some experience as well? At least, we share similar concerns.
Id like to cautiously examine something you said and hopefully give you some insight into my world. Specifically, I'm not sure that's the kind of emphasis you really want to put on life...that it's better with drinking in it.
In all honesty, I enjoy fine food. I enjoy smoking a pipe from time to time. And, I enjoy a good drink. I like these things with friends and family and I also enjoy them by myself. I am a connoisseur of wine and a student and aficionado of scotch. I believe wine is agricultures finest artistic achievement. I am thrilled by the stories of Scotland, the process and history of what was once referred to as Aqua Vitaethe Water of Life. I teach small groups and lead fundraisers on, Theology of Scotch. I enjoy it. And, though it might be dangerous to say, life is better with alcohol I would be lying if I said I didnt believe some of these things are the fine enjoyments of life.
I do understand my responsibility. As a teacher. As a pastor. As a role model. And, quite frankly (though I am careful to use this term and do so only in this context with you), an influencer of larger than average scope. You are perceptive and correct about the influence.
One thing my brothers (and the alcoholics I minister to) often tell me is they appreciate my stance and my ability to use my influence to give people a good example of what it looks like to enjoy alcohol responsiblyto enjoy without abuseto celebrate without sin. Perhaps this is one of the reasons Jesus turned water to wine as his first miracle. He turned perception on its head. Some might argue it was grape juice or weak wine but, make no mistake, in John 2 we read a clear story of the of wine he supplied. . . . the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now." (John 2:9,10)
You are completely within bounds to raise question or concern and start conversation. I appreciate that. It is not my goal to convince you drinking is okay since that is not what you asked and you clearly stated it, IS NOT, in and of itself something bad. We are free in Christ to do many things, some of which are profitable, some, not so much.
Hopefully, my response is helpful to you. From time to time, you will hear me comment on wine, beer, and especially good scotch because it is part of who I am as an artist and enthusiast. They dont define me but I am known as a go-to person by many on the history and enjoyment of these things in a responsible manner. I even lead a small group on scotch at Westwinds called, Aqua Vitae where we learn about scotch and talk about Jesus, the real Water of Life.
This week, I will be in Nashville teaching about the Theology of Scotch with some theologians, artists and scholars as a fundraiser for an artist development center. I am establishing a great relationship with some in the scotch community as I learn from them and, in turn, teach others a biblical perspective. Many of these men and women are not believers and they are thrilled and expectant about what we are doing. Please pray for me.
I talk to many kids, adults, addicts, enthusiasts about the dangers of alcohol and what it looks like to enjoy these things God created without destroying lives in the process.
If you want to talk further, I would be more than happy to. Thanks for showing your concern in a loving way.
John
P.S. I would love to reprint this conversation with you as a blog post and leave your name out of it if you wouldnt mind. I think this is a great conversation and the world needs to see us talking responsibly and lovingly about it. Is that okay?
I'm so thankful for your insight, John, and you've presented views that encourage thinking. My own father was an alcoholic/drug addict who committed suicide, and my own son, now 20 has battled both addictions since he was 14, so I share the history ( and the pain )there. It's probably my " mom " parts kicking in that perhaps causes me to take more notice of the topic ( and the fear) at hand.
I do pray for you, friend, and I am very aware of ( yes, it's ok to use the phrase ) your position of influence. God put you there, and you humbly submitted to the call. We are very grateful and blessed for that.
Feel free to use any part of our correspondence, in whatever way might bring vision and clarity to an often murky subject. Although I am not a wine aficionado, I truly enjoy cooking with wine! The flavor is just not duplicated any other way, but honestly you would NOT want to see me drink a glass or two. LOL ( Never could handle it, and become most ridiculously funny). Call it low tolerance, or what you will.
What would be TERRIFIC to read, are some insights from what you're doing behind the scenes!
Thank you so much for sharing your story, your hobby and your insight.
You are prayed for, brother.

Observe and Report, actor Seth Rogens latest adventure, has been out for a week now, and reviews are - quite frankly - not all that hot as far as the mental health angle is concerned.
Rogen portrays Ronnie Barnhardt, a mall security guard with bipolar disorder on a mission to restore safety and decency to the Forest Ridge Mall a mouth worthy of some industrial strength disinfectant.
Several reputable names support Rogen in Observe and Report. Ronnies mother (Celia Weston) is an alcoholic who blames him for Ronnies father leaving, the object of his affection (Anna Faris) is a makeup counter girl with some questionable behavior issues of her own, and his archenemy is apparently a toss up between the malls latest nuisance - a flasher - and the real detective who steps in to clean up the problem (Ray Liotta).
However, despite an impressive cast, some reviewers are, well, quite unimpressed themselves.

Nancys motivation to share her story along with countless tips and anecdotes rests with her desire to spare other expectant moms from the many moments she found herself thinking Why didnt yall tell me that? while pregnant with Ashby. There were just so many things that came as a complete surprise to me that I wish someone had given me a heads up about, she says. Even though it is all so worth it, the things that happen with pregnancy can be shocking, scary and embarrassing.
Her advice? Pre-register if you plan to pursue a hospital birth, avoid foot massages which can trigger labor, and be proactive about getting help with breastfeeding the difficulty of which Nancy says left her completely floored.

Last weekend was one to be remembered for the Burke-Charvet family. With David spending time with friends in Las Vegas, Brooke headed out with her girlfriends Friday evening to wine and dine.
After a night spent swapping stories and sipping on drinks, Brooke blogs that she may have consumed a bit too much wine but paid for it in full the morning after!
Undeterred by their late night festivities, Brooke and her friends packed up the kids and headed out to a local park Saturday morning.
Despite the playground swarming with paparazzi, Brooke was determined to enjoy the day with her family. I didnt want it to take away from the kids fun, she writes of the photographers. s kind of sad that I dont spend as much time with them in that area, simply because of the hassle with all of the paparazzi.
Enjoying the sunshine, Brooke admits that she was in for quite a surprise when she realized it was not the paps who were set on spoiling the day, but rather a fellow mom.

Just months after the sudden loss of their only son Jett, John Travolta and Kelly Preston are slowly letting the world back into their lives. Friends and family say the Travoltas are coping with the teens death as well as they can and leaning on their faith in Scientology to find peace.
John is a strong man, but to lose a loved one, its the worst time in anyones life, Olivia Newton-John, a longtime pal, told PEOPLE in its new cover story.
On Jan. 2, the Travoltas family vacation turned to tragedy when son Jett was found unconscious in bathtub at the familys resort in the Bahamas. Jett eventually died of a seizure, despite several attempts to save him. Travolta tried to revive Jett using CPR after the teen was discovered unconscious. He was doing mouth-to-mouth to resuscitate, Travoltas attorney Michael McDermott said.
Actress Leah Remini has watched the family tragedy unfold and says they are dealing with the tragedy very well. How do you deal with the greatest tragedy in your life? I can tell you that they are handling it the best any parent could ever deal, Remini said.
While they are still trying to stay out of the public eye, friends say the couple havent secluded themselves and are making time to see friends and stay strong for their daughter Ella Bleu.
They arent secluding themselves or paralyzed, a family friend said. [Seeing them] was like old times. Nothing awkward and no topics to dance around. There were smiles.
Despite controversy with their religion, friends say Scientology has helped the family find peace with their sons death. re relying on their faith to get them through this. Their faith is solid, and their family is solid, said a friend.

How long does it take to get over disgrace? That depends. In Robert Irvines case, it seems that the answer is not very long.
Last February Super Chef reported :
Super Chef has been following the Robert Irvine Affair - the Food Network star of Dinner: Impossible who, the St. Petersburg Times discovered, faked his resume - including faking a knighthood, experience in the White House kitchen, and even friendship with Prince Charles. Its quite an amazing hoax.
Robert has evidently cleaned up his resume enough that the Food Network signed him on in December for a new season of Dinner: Impossible.
But in between LAffair Irvine and his return April 8 at 10:00 pm ET/PT, the busy Iron Chef, Michael Symon took on the Dinner: Impossible role. Now that Michael is being replaced by Robert, Michaels line is that he knew all along that this was a temporary gig, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer:
We didnt [the show], Symon added. I knew going in that there was a 95 percent chance that hed be coming back. We really want to keep this brand alive. So we came in, rocked out the 10 shows, and moved on.
Really? Has Michael Symon become synonymous with the Food Network? Would any chef work hard at a show knowing someone else was going to host it next?
Arent there plenty of talented, TV-savvy chefs without faked resumes who could take Michaels and Roberts place?
By the way, this is what the Food Network has for Roberts current resume:
Born in England, Robert Irvine began cooking at the age of 15, when he joined the Royal Navy. As part of his service, he worked on board the Royal Yacht Britannia where the Royal Family and their entourages regularly dined. In addition, Robert participated in a guest chef program, allowing him to cook at the White House. In his 25 year-long career, he had the opportunity to serve 6,000 servicemen and women on a US aircraft carrier and plan the menu at a spectacular celebrity-studded after-party at the Academy Awards. Robert also wrote a cookbook entitled “Mission: Cook!” (Harper Collins, 2007). He currently owns his own multi-faceted company, The Irvine Group.
Maybe Robert has something to teach other disgraced actors, politicians, and reporters. Super Chef suggests the title of his next book should be: Liar, Liar.

Rihanna was spotted again this weekend in Manhattan looking very cute. She rocked a plain white tee, some really cute jeans, gloves, pumps and top it off with a fur sweater/jacket combo. Im still not feeling the jheri curl hair but I like everything else and Im still ecstatic to not see Chris Beater in any of the photos with her. Thats a good sign. She was headed to dinner at Da Silvano with her assistant/friend Melissa. I guesst we will see Rihanna sighting on the regular again. Thats actually a good thing because that means she is healing.

But that doesn't mean the act isn't illegal. Not all crimes are intentional. There are crimes based on "recklessness" or "negligence." As long as the state has a crime on the books defined as, say, negligently causing death (or, for that matter, negligently endangering the welfare of a child), the legal question actually seems pretty simple.
A lot of people seem to have a very strong emotional reaction that parents who do this shouldn't be prosecuted. By calling it "emotional," I'm not putting it down -- emotion can be a useful guide to what's right. But it's also important to step back and analyze it. Why do people have that reaction? Is it because the article starts out describing the agony of a particular father who did this, with a touching photo of the man holding his lost child's stuffed animal and looking overwhelmed with sadness?
Well, what if you were the parent ... and your babysitter did this to your child? Would you want the babysitter to be charged with a crime (assuming they're over 18)? It would hardly seem principled to have a rule that parents are legally allowed to do this to their children but babysitters aren't allowed to do it to other people's children. (I stole this point from this commenter.)
To me, the decisive factor is the "lifelong sentence of guilt far greater than any a judge or jury could mete out." No matter what technical argument might be made about how prosecutors could legally charge the parent with a crime, that doesn't mean they have to do so. Living with the guilt is punishment enough; it seems like a waste of resources to make the parent also serve a prison sentence, even a light one.
Another problem, though: this is a very well-crafted article that exclusively describes the parents as sympathetic and loving. But there are parents who routinely neglect their children because they're always drunk or high, or because they just don't care enough. I haven't seen any evidence to show that any such parents have caused their children to die by leaving them in cars, but it's entirely possible. Should prosecutors treat those parents differently from "normal" parents?
Many people are outraged at the parents: "How could you possibly forget your child in the car?!" I actually think it's disturbingly easy to imagine this. Can't you think of a time when you told yourself, "I have to do tasks A, B, C, and D in the next hour," then felt assured that you did everything you were supposed to, only to realize hours later that you never did task B? Well, imagine doing that, but task B is dropping your kid off at day care.

Katy Perry hits up the new Esquire magazine (looking totally sexy, by the way), and touches on a bunch of topics during her interview.
On Her Dream Outfit/Performance: "I always wanted to suspend from the ceiling in a twirling banana. I'm going to be inside the banana. So the banana drops into a fruit bowl with the other sparkling, glorious fruit, and their tops pop off and dancers come out and help peel me out of the banana. I have a fascination with fruit."
On Her Aspirations and the Media: "I'd like to say I'd like to be as big as a Gwen or a Madonna, but I think those days of achieving that level are over. The media is bringing everybody down.
On the Paparazzi: "I don't ever do anything to try and bring it upon myself. There are ten thousand other restaurants besides the Ivy. I'm not obsessed with getting my picture taken. You know, there's just so much taken out of context. Theres so much nit-picking. I turned my data alerts off."
On Her Dating Preferences: "I have a soft spot for musicians. If a man could ride this roller coaster with me and come out alive, then I guess we'd deserve each other's company. But I don't really have the right energy to be with somebody right now, because when I love somebody, I love somebody. Like, I want to marry them. I don't date around. I havent been on a date."
On Her Esquire Photo Shoot: "I aimed a little bit sexy with the hair. I wanted to just grow up a little bit. I'll be twenty-five this year.
