LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - ABC has decided against giving full-season orders to Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone, but is not officially saying that the struggling shows are canceled.
The network informed the shows producers that no additional episodes will be ordered at this time. It left the door open for future orders, though that is considered unlikely.
The trio remain on the schedule for next week, and Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone will finish their current production order (on their 12th and 13th episodes, respectively). depicts an absurdly wealthy family, and Eli Stone revolves around a prophetic attorney.

Nicola McClain makes my lack of sleep completely worthwhile.  Nicola is featured in Nuts Magazine in a sexy jungle setting.  She was on Im a Celebrity, a UK reality show about living in the jungle (Survivor anyone?).  If she could have found a body of water, Nicola could have just floated home on using her massive 32G breasts as floatation devices.  Yes, thats a G!  She originally thought her 32Es were not big enough for her!  Nicola McClain has the right idea in my book, especially with showing them to me!  Whoever said more than a handful is a waste was a complete loser (and a breast virgin).

Many of you may know me from seeing me on television looking for love ... The second show, many of you watched as I got down to one man ... he got down on one knee and proposed to me ... unfortunately we have since gone our separate ways but still remain very good friends. From my personal love experiences and sharing the ups and downs of love with my friends, I have become a go-to girl among my girlfriends who have become beautiful brides themselves.
In light of her recent breakup with Jesse Csincsak - which even Bachelor host Chris Harrison says was sparked by her "going Hollywood" - some question if DeAnna really makes the best co-host of a wedding show. What a crazy notion.
But Get Married CEO Stacie Francombe, who hired Pappas after watching her on The Bachelorettes fourth season, maintains DeAnna is the right person for the job.
The truth is going to come out as to what really happened, she says. s very real and very honest about who she is and what she wants in life. She wants to talk to brides, she wants to help them and she wants to listen to them.
As for DeAnna Pappas, she's very much in search of Mr. Just Right.
[Jesse Csincsak] is a wonderful man and will make some woman very happy one day, Pappas laments, but not for too long of course. As for me, I still VERY much want to be in love, GET MARRIED, and start a family of my own.

On Monday, the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, a think tank that specializes in black public opinion, released its latest poll. Some stats:

The presidential election: 84% black Americans prefer Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) over Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for president, who was chosen by 6% of respondents. The other 10% did not know or would not say. Senator Obama dominates all subgroups of black voters except black Republicans, who favor Sen. McCain 74% to 19%. However, black Republicans were such a small portion of the sample that this statistic is considered statistically unreliable.

Priority issues: The economy is Black America's top concernwith 62% naming it the most important national problem. The war in Iraq and healthcare (7% each) were the next issues most frequently mentioned. The order of most important issues corresponded to the Joint Center's 2004 poll. However, the economy's dominance as a focus of concern is double from 2004 (31%).

The country's direction: 88% of black respondents said that things in America "have pretty seriously gotten off on the wrong track". Less than one-in-fourteen African Americans thinks USA is going in the right direction.

Ideological identification: JCPES didn't highlight this one, but I calculated it using their sample size and plugging in the numbers that the poll listed of people's self-identifying ideology. 43.6% of respondents self-identified as liberal, 24.4% as moderate, and 31.3% as conservative (the other .7% must not have answered the question). Among those who identified as conservative, 78.3% self-identify as Christian conservative and 21.7% as secular conservative.

There has been an increase of self-identified liberals and conservatives from the 2004 poll, and a contraction in self-identifed moderates. Given that only 4% of the entire sample identified as Republican, it should be noted that the overwhelming majority of rank-and-file, self-identified black conservatives remain Democrats or independent and not Republican.

Party identification: 73% self-identify as Democrats, up from 63% in 2004. Black Republicans in the survey declined to 4%, down from 10% four years ago. Black independents also declined, from 23% to 19%, over the same period.

A couple of surprises: Despite the brouhaha during the primary election, the Clintons remain very popular. Sen. Hillary Clinton is viewed favorably by 86.4% of blacks and unfavorably by only 7.8%. These ratings are even more favorable than she got in the 2004 poll. Former President Bill Clinton is also warmly regarded, with 85.5% viewing him favorably and only 9.2% unfavorably. His favorability rating is down from its peak in 2000, but better than his rating in 2002. In fact, both Clintons have a slightly higher favorability rating than does Michelle Obama (82.6%).

Among blacks, 46.9% view Secretary Condoleezza Rice favorably, while 31.4% view her unfavorably. Her figures are up from the 2004 poll, when she was National Security Adviser, and are by far higher than other Bush administration officials.

Mr. Blackwell, Hollywood’s toughest and roughest  critic of celebrity fashion died Sunday of complications from an intestinal infection, his publicist Harlan Boll said.
Blackwell was a little-known dress designer when he issued his first tongue-in-cheek criticism of Hollywood fashion disasters in 1960.
From then on, his Best and Worst Dressed lists became a must read for their cutting humor and witty criticisms of the Jet Set, some of whom, were less than thrilled with Blackwells scathing commentaries.
He was unique, and in this cookie-cutter world of corporate-copycat-ism that is a good thing.

According to reports, a life-long fan of Led Zeppelin wrote to each surviving band member to request permission to nominate them for a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
Guitarist Jimmy Page, though, "kindly" pressed the fan not to proceed with the idea.
Page's mouthpiece reportedly said, "He (Page) has asked me to thank you for this interest but he does not feel that this is something that he can endorse."
We can see the legendary rocker not wanting to deal with the cheesetasticness that goes around getting a star.

Second marriage was called "the triumph of hope over experience" by 18th-century essayist Samuel Johnson. What would he have said about third, fourth, fifth, even ninth marriages? Perhaps he'd agree that multi-married celebrities are the most romantic of us all. Based on frequency alone, the following rank as Top 10 Celebrity Honeymooners. Some of these celebrity marriages didn't extend much beyond the honeymoon, but they were fun (or not) while they lasted....

Husband #3 was producer Ronald Kass (1972-83). Seriously sexy Swedish singer Peter Holm carried her over the threshold in 1985. The crooning Canadian captain of the Starship Enterprise has been over the moon romantically four times in his life. Gloria Rand (1956-1969) was Wife #1. Shatner's marriage to Marcy Lafferty lasted even longer (1973-1996). Wife #3, Nerine Kidd, whom he married in 1997, had addiction problems and drowned in their home swimming pool in 1999. Since 2001, Shatner has been married to Elizabeth Martin. The couple shares an interest in Thoroughbred horses.

With Husband #4, David Gest, Minnelli had an elaborate 2002 NYC wedding with 1,500 celebrity guests. The couple honeymooned in London, then separated in 2003. Gest then filed a $10-million lawsuit, claiming battery.

While this may cause many liberals to get more excited than they are over the news that the Sarah Palin love-fest has been replaced by the Sarah Palin consternation-fest, this possibility actually saddens The Hollywood Gossip staff.
Hasselbeck admirably stands up for her conservative opinions on the talk show. There's nothing wrong with that. It makes for solid debate.
But Elisabeth feels she cant win at The View, but shes been told by friends at FOX News that theyd find a spot for her without hesitation, The National Enquirer reports. Elisabeth is just as tired of the ladies at The View as they are of her! She feels she constantly has to defend herself.

Britney Spears reacts to winning thrice at the VMAs. The former train wreck has been doing a lot better lately, but hasn't quite returned to the level of celebrity style icon.
Spears' first and only appearance on the cover of Vogue was back in November 2001 for an issue dedicated to American celebrity fashion.
Apparently it did not do well, as editor-in-chief Anna Wintour "will never put her on the cover again... She's just not a Vogue kind of girl."

It's still a week early for the MTV Video Music Awards, but Britney Spears, who is up for three awards, is already garnering support.
Count one hip-hop heavyweight, producer Pharrell Williams, among her fans.
"She's made her mark with her career," Williams said at the Pepsi 500 party in Hollywood, which he hosted. "She's super-talented. She's an entertainer."
Williams previously collaborated with Spears - who some consider to be the worst singer ever - on her hits "I'm a Slave 4 U" and "Boys."
"It was cool, it was fun," said Williams, who is currently working on new music with Common and Fall Out Boy, of working with Britney.

That was before we got ahold of a sneak peak at their video game. Yes. When she and Spencer Pratt were talking about making one, they were serious!
The "Facebreaker" game (avail. September 3) for the Xbox 360 and PS3 lets you take on Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag and other stars in the boxing ring.
In the game, which they say is made for laughs (at them and not with them, we say), "limbs contort, faces stretch and opponents go flying in the ring," according to MTV News, which has made available a preview (below).
