According to Radar Online, the judge gave permission for them (Britneys conservators) to look into keeping Britney working, but put off a definitive ruling.
Basically, everything is set to go, but its up to the judge and Britneys conservators whether or not it goes ahead. Right now theyre considering it, but its all to do with whether its worth it financially.
The plans are still set, the Australian leg of the tour is still on the cards. Almost everything is in place, but its all to do with Britneys team and whether they think its worth it considering the economic downturn and the weakness of the Australian dollar thats seen the cancellation of Madonnas tour happen.
Just keep waiting, and keep hoping that Britneys team works to make it happen. Britney has expressed her interest through many sources that she wants to tour Australia, seeing as last time around her injury stopped it from happening.
If theres no word by about mid-May, then its probably safe to say that its not happening - but theres still a big chance that it will! Keep your hopes up.

Congrats, y'all! Answer list after the jump. To get 'em correct, all ya had to do was watch the videos in our Britney.com Video Catalog. I did get some wacky answers that made me literally LOL. Got a few incorrect "Me Against The Music" and "Do Somethin'" answers, and even got one "Curious commercial" for #13! Loves it. Rest assured that we'll def be doing something like this again, only I'll make it next to impossible to figure out. Are U up for the challenge.

Do we really want to live in a world where children's birthday parties resort to nihilistic activities such as pin the tail on the donkey, or -- and I shudder to think -- red rover? Sure, you could hire that magician, but can you really afford it?
And what of Mexican-themed bar mitzvahs?
These are the ancillary effects, the poorly considered repercussions, of what everyone assures me is the certain demise of newspapers. Oh, piñata makers, how I weep for thee.

How Braiden won the tickets:
The challenge was a 1 minute lip-sync to any one of Britney's "My Prerogative, Greatest Hits" CD. It is one thing for a guy to be able to do the choreography, but to have to be Britney and pretend to sing a song is a whole different challenge... I was super cheesy and really dramatic, but I guess it paid off because the judges said that I really "went for it, and didn't hold back." SO I WON!
Winning was his destiny:
I actually had tickets for the Miami show, however, last minute I was flown back to Canada and missed the show. I was able to give my ticket to a friend minutes before the concert and he said the show was fantastic too! Then I was trying to get tickets to Edmonton but they were completely sold out! So I guess it was all meant to be!!!
On why dancers love Britney:
She has some of the best club music there is, and there is just a energy when one of her singles are being played at a bar, everyone always gets on the dance floor.

The Circus show packs 17 song segments and every under-the-big-top cliché except Siegfried Roys white tigers into a crowd-pleasing hour and 45 minutes. A comeback, certainly, and a solid one at that. But all the sex, fire and stomp-and-slither choreography cant disguise the fact that the production needs a bigger, purely musical core (a few more songs from the current album would have helped) — and some spontaneity. It wasnt until Spears finally called out Thank you, New Orleans after finishing her Womanizer encore that the crowd got a glimpse into the heart of their homegirl from Kentwood.

The official label on Clive Davis famed gala this year: Grammy

The Recording Academys week-long festivities running up to the Grammy Awards have never touted anything as flashy as the star-studded soiree Clive Davis has hosted for 30 years.
Until this year, when the music moguls famed blowout became an official member of the Grammy family. Now dubbed the Pre-Grammy Gala, Saturdays celebrity shindig in the Beverly Hilton remains the hottest ticket in Hollywood, as much for its seismic schmooze as its top-shelf performers.
Confirmed guests include Quincy Jones, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Bill Maher, Missy Elliott, will.i.am, Babyface, T-Pain, Busta Rhymes, the Foo Fighters, Gladys Knight and Chris Tucker.
Whitney Houston, returning from self-imposed exile and a messy divorce, will take the stage. So will Jennifer Hudson, emerging further into the spotlight after the October murders of her mother, brother and nephew.
During the event, the Recording Academy will present its Presidents Merit Award to Davis for his contributions to the music industry. Its the only alteration to a blueprint of merrymaking and song.
They were not interested in changing anything, so its still a very personal party, says Davis, Sony Musics chief creative officer. Though his labels and sponsors always bankrolled the event, it was never a company party. Heads of every record group lay down their armor to be there. We have every motion-picture studio, every TV network, all there to celebrate music.
Drawing luminaries and power brokers from all fields of entertainment, the Davis bash grew grander than talent agent Lazars legendary Oscar gatherings.
It has served as a platform for emerging acts from Alicia Keys to Leona Lewis, who made her U.S. debut at last years gala. Davis allows space on the bill for stars outside his stable, including Kanye West.
This year, hes wound up about his diva double-hitter.
Hudson is feeling as well as can be expected, Davis says. She is in a frame of mind to really get back to work.
Ditto for Houston, who just came out of the studio with R. Kelly, and after the Grammys shes going back in with David Foster. The songs are there.
He has also booked the Kings of Leon and rising singer/songwriter BC Jean, who co-wrote Beyoncés If I Were a Boy. Sean Combs, inspired by the biopic Notorious, will revive Ill Be Missing You, his 1997 tribute to Biggie Smalls, with Faith Evans.
The all-star gathering and media magnet really fits in our wheelhouse, says Recording Academy president Neil Portnow, who worked for Davis at Arista in the 80s.
With the party now attached to Grammys neutral terrain, will fellow honchos resent Davis authority over the marquee and guest list?
I made calls to the chairs of the other major labels and posed that question, Portnow says. To a person, everyone said, s great, Clive deserves it. Clive knows its not about any one labels artists. Hes been broad in selecting talent.
Selecting Davis as this years Merit recipient was a no-brainer, he adds. The award honors pillars of the music business, not only the creative side, but the business side, Portnow says. s about being visionary and ultimately bringing talent forward, believing in it, sticking with it and creating the most beloved musical artists of our time. That is Clives legacy. Hes 100% still at it.
And in no hurry to quit. Davis, 76, co-produced Kelly Clarksons upcoming album and is co-producing a new Leona Lewis album with Simon Cowell. Hes also working on discs by Rod Stewart and Carlos Santana and preparing to collaborate with Harry Connick Jr.
It would be easier to give it up if it werent so exciting and challenging, Davis says. And great report cards are very gratifying.

As Britney Spears gears up to kick off her Circus tour March 3 in New Orleans, PEOPLE enlisted the tours resident illusionist, Ed Alonzo, for a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the tricks – musical and otherwise – the star, 27, has in store for fans.
So is this comeback for the serially-troubled Spears? I dont know if I would call it a comeback, says Alonzo, a lead illusionist on MyNetworkTVs Masters of Illusion. s more of a continuation of the greatness she always had.

During one song (Alonzo wont say which one), Britney becomes part of his magic act. s incorporated into major illusions. Shell do dissection, where shes sawed in half, and transposition, where shes in one place and ends up in another place. Shes doing all the classic elements of magic.

s dancing so hard in the show, Alonzo says. s elements of hip-hop, tumbling, its really outrageous. The kind of choreography in the show is similar to the kind of stuff you see in Americas Best Dance Crew.s Back in Shape
She looks really incredible, says Alonzo, who played Max, the owner of the diner hangout, in the 90s TV hit Saved By The Bell. s really toned. Her stomach looks fantastic. This is the Britney Spears people remember from the past. Even stronger and better.

Forget her bungled performance at the 2007 MTVs VMAs. s really got it together, says Alonzo. s totally focused. And shes working her butt off.

For a while now, I've believed I could be best friends with Britney. And I'm not just saying that because she is my all time favourite pop sensation ever (she is) and I'd give my right arm to meet her (I would), but because I think I'd be a Really Very Good influence on her.
I've got it all figured out: we'd drink frappuccinos two at a time, gossip about which paparazzi is fittest, do interviews with me going "a lot of people don't see the zany side of Britney", and then, after we've had our fun, I'd get down to business and convince her to release more songs like '...Baby, One More Time'. And BAM! Just like that I'd be the best friend ever to exist and single-handedly responsible for reviving Britney's career as a dazzling songstress.
Now she's released 'Circus' though, I'm wondering if I'd be a bit redundant. 'Circus' is Britney's 23rd single (yes, 23rd!) and, while it's certainly no '...Baby One More Time', it is good. Very good.
In fact, it's much better than anything we've seen from her in a long time (including 'Womanizer' which, though it's a grower, is a bit of a non-song really) and for the first time in two years makes me question if she really needs me in her life. Yikes!

Despite the fact that Britney's been back more times than K-Fed's had babies, with 'Circus' it feels like she is actually having a proper go at regaining her crown. As a song it has some of that early Britney spark. It has attitude, it's less 'dirty' and soulless than the whole of 'Blackout' and, compared to everything else that's in the charts right now, it's a seriously refreshing change and something to actually get a bit excited about.
However, compared to 'Oops!', 'Crazy', 'Stronger' and 'Toxic', 'Circus' still falls short. And this is where I'm having a bit of a problem rating it: it's brilliant, but is it Brit-liant.
