This episode opens with Brandi M, one of only 4 girls left in the house; before the girls receive a note from Sharon telling them that the lesson for today will be about knowing who they truly are.
The girls assemble in the great hall where Daniella reveals their next commandment, “Thou shalt know who thou art.” Daniella says it’s important to know who you are and Riki introduces Dawn Andrews, an image consultant, who immediately asks the girls about the misconceptions other people have about them. The girls say they are often seen as being bitchy, slutty, emotionless and intimidating (But that shit is true).
Dawn then has the girls fill out a pie chart to rate their personal satisfaction in the areas of health, family, career, sex and fun. Brandi M and Destiney complete their charts and Heather thinks they were lying about their low sexual satisfaction levels (Did you fuck them? If not then there’s no reason to be upset).

at the end of October, has already become the metaverse version of the 'I’m moving to Canada!' threat we hear every U.S. Presidential election.
Days later, the actual U.S. Presidential election occurred, but this time, no American was talking about quitting their country for Canada. Even many McCain/Palin supporters hailed Barack Obama's election as a transformational, epoch-making moment. Outside the US, the enthusiasm was almost as intense, if not more so. (A Canadian friend told me the election made her want to apply for US citizenship.)
So far as Second Life goes, at least, moving to Canada is an outdated analogy. How about a more contemporary one, which helps better express where the world is now? Try this:
Electing Obama: Epochal news about an organization or community which utterly remakes and revitalizes its image with outsiders, while restoring optimism and loyalty among its members.
You know you're in the middle of an Electing Obama moment when people say things like, I never thought this was possible and This changes everything. Second Life has had two such moments, but relative to its history, the last one was quite awhile ago. Which in my view goes a long way to explain the intensity of anger over the Openspaces affair.

The scroll Bacchus held in his hands belonged to another god. Granted, the address read to Bacchus, but this foolish human had prayed to the wrong deity. Had the world fallen so far into disarray that a vintner didnt know to whom he should make entreaties relating to the current crop of pinot noir? Of course Bacchus would gladly partake of the finished product, but really he didnt care if he imbibed wine, whiskey, pilsner, or peppermint schnapps. Humans had come up with so many ways to pay homage to him. Their propensity for creative self-medication endeared the species to the God of Intoxication and Ecstasy.

On Rock Of Love Charm School Episode 6
This episode seemed ridiculously staged to me, but I’m not saying that any of these shows aren’t staged to an extent either. When the girls started drinking, it seemed like they drank way more than their blood alcohol levels indicated but then again these girls are like career alcoholics and they aren’t anorexic so maybe they can drink a lot without actually getting drunk.
I also thought the Dallas/Lacey drama was really exaggerated because you could tell that both of them were acting extremely fake. First you had Lacey antagonizing Dallas and wiping her nasty ass feet on her clothes unnecessarily and then spilling a drink on Dallas. Then you had Dallas throwing a silly temper tantrum after she learned she had to work with Lacey. Of course their attitudes caused them to have the worst and Dallas was eliminated for her indifference and her bad attitude.
Personally I think her and Lacey should have gone home, and I also think there should be a point in the show where Sharon Osbourne should just say ‘fuck it,’ cut her losses and just eliminate Lacey and the two Brandis because I’m damn tired of all 3 of them getting away with damn near murder and they never go home.
It really cheapens an already bogus and insipidly arranged show.

Supernatural: Wishful Thinking
Sam and Dean and the Magical McGuffin by Sylvia Bond Supernatural Episode Review – Season Four, Episode 8 “Wishful Thinking” I think I’ve laughed enough for one season, thank you. I’ve been subsisting on eps (three in a row now) that were written for laughs, delivered for comedy, and that juxtaposed the seriousness of the brothers’ plight against humor with the retro b/w filming technique, the man scream, and now, this week, the giant teddy bear, and I’m done, done, I tell you, and I’ll keep telling you; I don’t watch Show for laughs. While I don’t mind touches of humor (both boys having a healthy sense of which), if I wanted funny, I’d watch MAD TV, or re-watch “Love, Actually” for the gazillionth time. I’m finding it tiresome to have my Thursday nights turned into a festival of fun and games, so if anyone finds the serious, angst-filled show I used to watch, you can return it now, please, care of this website: www.pinkraygun.com.

This is the second book of the second series set in the world of Terre D'Ange. As such it follows the story of Imriel de la Courcel, rather than Phèdre nó Delaunay.

I picked up the first series ages ago and got sucked down in every part of the trilogy. The kind of book, I want to keep reading, the kind of book that makes you not want to go to work. So far the second series has the same strength.

In this book Imriel, son of the traitorous Melisande Sharizai falls head over heels in love with his cousin Sidonie. Politics, however, decide he should marry Dorelei, a Alban princess so as to cement the ties between the two countries. As is to be expected, things are not quite that easily said and done.

Carey's created an alternate earth, where angels followed Blessed Elua and settled down in what would be France in our world. The world is solid, as are it's legends and it's history giving depth to the stories. He characters are strong and her writing is sexy. Very sexy.

Highly recommended.

Shontelle to see how she was doing and to catch up on the latest happenings in her life. She began telling me about the show she was watching- it was a feature on the infamous 9/11 attacks, which shook the world back in 2001, describing in depth how moved she was by it and how she didn’t know how she would have reacted if she were in that situation. She now lives in New York, so there is always that fear in the back of your mind, the ‘What if…?’ I was pleased she agreed to do the interview without hesitation, and I was even more pleased when I was able to catch her on a lazy afternoon.
“Universal Motown Records was one of the labels I was looking at there were a handful of them but definitely Universal.” Her voice noticeably lifted when talking about her distribution label, but there was a far more personal investment in the smaller label SRC Records, which crafted her sound and shopped her around to Universal Motown in the first place. The fact that ‘Akon’ was also under that same ‘imprint’ label- the term used to refer to the smaller labels which handle the actual production and artist development which the larger labels no longer do- seemed to please her greatly, apparently she’s a fan. It was at this time I remembered why I wanted to do a face-to-face interview instead of a telephone interview. My telephone beeped, I ignored it as she was mid-sentence talking about her youth, and how she could not see herself doing anything other than music.
“That’s why I went after that American Musical and Dramatic Academy scholarship because if you’re going to do something, you should learn to do it best.” I honestly never heard of the AMDA, so I researched it and discovered she actually won the scholarship, however while in New York, received a call from Evan Rogers from SRP- the man behind Rihanna’s discovery- and decided to take the opportunity that presented itself. What I also never realized was her aunt is Kim Derrick, a local entertainer and she mentioned it was being exposed to the live aspect of music and performing that really inspired her. She was also quick to say when she was younger she wanted to be like her aunty Kim. I was tempted to ask how she felt now that she’s surpassed her aunt, but I felt that question would be inappropriate so I moved on. Besides, my main focus was to find out about Shontelle the girl next door, not Shontelle the potential superstar.
What I found most intriguing was her revelation about her routine in New York- where she is currently based. She told me that she basically does what she was doing when our conversation began. I had to be sure that she really wanted to tell me all she does at the end of a long day is go home to her apartment and watch National Geographic or the Discovery Channel. There was no mistake. I had always imagined the life of a singer to be such a glamorous and exciting life. Fueling my apparent misconception is the recent spate of out-of-control celebrities all over the television, getting arrested, falling down drunk coming out of clubs and bars, and what ever else they get up to. However, Shontelle tells me that type of behaviour is not in keeping with her image or modus operandi.
“I used to party a lot when I was younger… I eventually realized that was a waste of money and I decided I needed to find ways to take the money I had and make it work for me, not simply throw it away.” At this point I was really beginning to see how she has matured in life and in the industry, though she is still yet to release her debut album.
Why I was particularly impressed with Shontelle is because I look up to people in entertainment. Entertainment in all forms inspires me, and entertainers are the most amazing people on the planet. Although it cannot be denied- the fact that a lot of them often mess up on such a phenomenal scale- one has to admit that many times, the amount of good that the majority of their peers does far overshadows the negative that a handful of irresponsible people do.

Hello,
I'm Anne Jo Lexander, also known as Ania to my friends and on the web. I'm currently a 28 29 y.o. mediastudent living at the westcoast of Norway in Bergen with my two kids and husband. I have been scrapbooking ever since I decided I wanted to do something special with the photos from my youngest childs christening, which was in fall 2005. The minute I found scrapbooking I was hooked and have never looked back since.

My scrapbooking style varies dependant upon my mood - personally I am fond of calling myself jack of all trades - master of noone. I try to go with the flow and am inspired by my photographs and the stories they have to tell. I also love how the products I use often speak to me and inspire my creativity - using a wide variety of product means that my style is often defined by the direction the product takes me.

To me scrapbooking is just not one thing - I scrap due to a multitude of reasons as to why even take up the photos and papers. One day it's because I want to preserve a funny story about my kids, the next day it might be because a special photo speaks to me and I just want to make a pretty page around it. Sometimes I just feel the urge to create whatever - as long as I am creating. Sometimes things on my mind just needs to be put on paper. And let's admit it - sometimes gorgeous papers and sassy embellishments just scream "use me!" to you. To me all of the different reasons and combinations of those are why I scrapbook and what keeps the hobby so interesting to me over time.

I teach scrapbooking-classes here in Norway and am also a Prima Marketing and Tattered Angels endorsed educator. I also write for "Vi Scrapper", a Norwegian Scrapbook-magazine.

A great w-end! Friday night I had a full class for the first Fa la la Album! We had lots of fun and the girls really created all a beautiful album! Saturday was cleaning time at home... on going until it's done! I think I need a full week off of all my duties to make it happen! Then I prep my contribution to our ya.ya "Asian" theme diner at Tanya's! We had lots of fun and I prepped with Mell's supplies a wonderful mini accordion album for the girls! Now we need to all finish it at home and share it once completed! We went to bed a tad late.... but with all the lovely Candy Apple Martini's... we had a great short night of sleep!

Yesterday I prepared my Fabric Swap "Take 2"(unfortunately our first package that left went missing) and I decided to send a new batch with ATC's matching! Stephane arrived from hunting and didn't get anything but is leaving again Wednesday with the boys and will only return next Sunday.

Here are my ATC's and Fabric Swap "take 2".

Material Maiden « Good Fish, Ill Fish

  • Nov. 10th, 2008 at 1:13 PM

Big day. Think I'll vote early, so I can sit around and do some blogging tonight.

--My partisan hopes are clear: --Republican.
--My hopes for the safety of the nation in terms of the capacity of the leader are clear: --McCain.

After that it gets murky. I do not know what "McCainism" is. For that matter I no longer know what "Republicanism" is, or even "Conservatism". I certainly have a lot of views on the matter, but nothing coherent. But "Baryism"? I know what that is, The State! So I certainly know what I fear. The core of all of my political thinking is fear of the totalitarian mindset.

A subset of my thought is concern with how well the monolithic media might control thought. How effective has statist MSM been in convincing Americans that Barry the Twit should be President? This will be hard to judge. He shouldn't even be the nominee, but once the nominee he is the Democrat, and this is a Democrat year, so the simple vote total doesn't so much speak of the media's propaganda success (other than that their covering for him has allowed him to be viable at all). So I'm going to presume something different, that the pollsters and the press are one and the same. If the vote is less than the prediction this to that degree anyway is a certain rejection of the media. In fact it's only by this rejection that it's possible at all that McCain can win. --The aspect of the media propaganda that I'm here considering is their simple thuggery, their making it racist to vote against a black guy. In terms of their keeping him afloat at all they certainly have been successful.

If somehow the media can be whipped, my that will be a pleasure.

Heaven's, it's already past 2:00 PM EST and as far as I can tell not one network has yet called the race for Obama? This is very very strange. I sense conspiracy.

But am now going to go out and vote, and maybe walk a bit in the woods. What a lovely lovely Indian Summer day.

Just did my vote at 2:15. No line. About 15 booths, one vacant as I voted. Seems to be a steady stream but not a crowd. Had very pleasant chats with the women behind the tables as my registration was being checked. Hard to believe such friendly, pleasing women are actually evil Democrats. 'Course, I was just being friendly and chatty myself, they had no idea of my own hidden identity as an evil Republican. I suppose that's why they didn't shoot me. --Probably one Republican vote now in this precinct. I guess one party rule does bring us all together.

Note: Youth vote seems low, as I'd expected. The Messiah has gone stale. It's further, my speculation, that the black percentages might not so very strongly favor The One as has been expected, the reason being that some blacks by now may have decided to vote their faith rather than their race. I don't think a serious Christian can comfortably vote for Barack. This might have some meaning in places such as Georgia. This might explain why neither McCain nor Barack have campaigned there even though the pollsters say it's close. Possibly the two campaigns know that's not true, and it might be because of this change in the black vote. --Pure speculation on my part.

A worrisome thing is that apparently the real surge in voting is among those 65 and older. First, it's hard to believe there's much of a surge, since they anyway turn out in large numbers; but two, it's worrisome because I'm not sure they're going for McCain. Old farts worry about their SS check. With the financial turbulence, I fear there's some possibility they might be going for the Democrat, the one who will "keep things the way they are." It would be strange if Barack gets a boost because he's considered status quo.

3:50 PM
Read some. Not much news. No leaked exit polls? That means either that the media learned it's lesson from 2004, or that they're not looking good for Obama, or that they're looking so good they don't feel they need to try to depress the Republican vote. --I believe in being incisive in my analysis.

Think I'll note that I have been oddly sanguine for almost two days now. I can't justify this by argument, I think it's just because I've come to dismiss the polls as much as I dismiss the media. I simply never any longer take anything seriously that I read from MSM, I know they're wrong and that in time I'll get the real information. In terms of what's true they're meaningless. Now I think I feel the same way about polls. There is a problem with this. I don't in fact know that the polls are wrong, and, while with the media I can easily dismiss the accuracy of their reporting, that doesn't at all mean they don't influence people who spend less time reading. Crappy reporting can still lead to firm conviction. The polls could be showing that. But I don't think so. I think the pollsters, in their "weighting" of their data, are as out to lunch and as purposely deceptive as is the media.

But now another walk in this splendid afternoon weather.

6:15 PM
Back from my walk. Utterly lovely weather. Not quite the pleasure as normal because I had my transistor with me to get the latest. No latest, just a distraction. On a walk one watches, or muses. I was trying to do that, plus listen. That's multitasking. Gave me a headache.

Note: Heavy turnout. I'm thinking that this year heavy turnout favors Republicans. My reasoning is that heavy turnout means new or occasional voters. For somebody to get off their butt they have to have motivation. What special motivation do Democrats have? Blacks have a special motivation, but who else? I don't buy that youth are excited; that excitement passed once Barack became Chicago. So I see no new voters excited except blacks.

The other powerful motivation a voter has is dislike. I can't see that there's that much dislike toward McCain/Palin; it in fact seems dislike must be exhausted, because it was so powerfully directed toward Bush, and he's already been "defeated." However, on the Republican side there's immense dislike. They don't like Obama --he might be President, and Republicans see him as totally unsuitable. That's a powerful motivation. And then there's immense annoyance with the press. That is going to get a lot of Republicans off the sofa. And not to forget, a lot of Red Staters love Sarah, so that's additional. So turnout this year is a plus for Republican. And more Democrats are going to vote McCain than Republicans Obama.

So far the substantiation of this thought is that the networks aren't making early calls. Indiana, Virginia, Georgia, not yet called. --Polls have been closed over a half hour.

7:28
From Hugh: Obama hasn't yet taken one red state, hasn't yet broken the Bush bag. --McConnell hangs on in Kentucky, but so far three seats lost. That's 54 now for Dems. --Pennsylvania still without any precincts reporting, yet ABC and MSNBC have called it for Obama. Maybe they're confident, maybe they're deluded, maybe it's a conscious attempt at voter suppression? I guess I should note that they certainly are deluded... but could be right. --Shoot, Pennsylvania called by Barone for Obama. Bad one. No numbers yet.

7:44
Cambliss in Georgia. Georgia as well for McCain. So far it's blue/blue; Red/Red. Unfortunately it seems it's the red states that are being too close to call quickly. That's not a good sign, but does mean the vote is close, thus wins are possible. Clearly not a landslide election. Good. I still hope for a McCain victory. It does look bleak.

8:07
Geraghty: Fox News calls New Mexico, Minnesota, Michigan for Obama. And the killer - they call Ohio for Obama.

Looks like it's over.

Ha! Retraction!!! Ohio was marked wrong!!! McCain yet lives!!!!

8:30
Ohio recalled for Obama. I can see no possibility for victory now. Unless somebody made a mistake, --Interestingly, the Northern Alliance isn't going along with the Ohio call. They don't have selected precinct information... Actually, sounds like a one hour delayed broadcast. So it probably is over.

10:06
Race called for Obama. Oh my. --I'm not sure all of the calls are right, but it looks like he's got enough of a margin it wouldn't matter if they were off on say, Ohio or Virginia, except real embarrassment. --Going to take awhile to adjust. --Going to take a break.

Last night's premiere of this season's Dancing with the Stars was a fun night to watch. Cloris Leachman was especially funny. The most impressive thing was not what she did on the dancefloor — it was after she finished. The 82-year-old actress, (who looked pretty darn good for her age) propped one of her legs right over the judge's table! Plus, she has a foul mouth and a great sense of humor.
I had to vote a couple of times for her, just because I want to see what else she does.
Here are more thoughts on the celebrities and their professional dancing partners:
• Lance Bass (formerly of NSYNC ) and Lacey Schwimmer (a onetime So You Think You Can Dance finalist and the 2007 World Swing Dance champ). The judges were impressed but I wasn't. I know Lance can dance. But the whole thing was a little too modern for me. And Lacey came off as a little "dirty" to me, for some reason.
Celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito and Karina Smirnoff. I like Karina, she's a pistol who always comes close but no cigar on that disco ball trophy. As for Rocco, totally cute on the dancefloor. But I didn't dial for him.
• Team USA beach volleyball queen Misty May-Treanor and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. O.K. Totally love Max. I loved him with Mel B. They were really hot together. Misty and Max — not so much. So I dialed just because I want to keep Max around and see him sashay around the dancefloor.
• Track star Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke. Before Julianne Hough came along, Cheryl was my favorite dancer. Now she's my second favorite. But I can't remember much about their dance last night. No vote.
• Grammy-winning recording artist Toni Braxton and Alec Mazo. She's overcoming some health issue; I give her kudos but no vote this week.
• Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and Mark Ballas. I can say Kim's dancing was NOT overshadowed by her rear. But then again, her dancing did not stand out as much.
• Hannah Montana's Cody Linley, Dancing's youngest celeb, with Julianne Hough. I don't know about this pairing. It's like Julianne and a younger brother. But I'm sure tweens will vote for them.
• Oscar and Emmy winner Cloris Leachman, 82, and Corky Ballas (Mark's father and a World Latin Champion). You already know I loved them, just for showmanship or is it showing up! By the way, she showed as much cleavage as the dancers bare their backs.
• TV vet Ted McGinley and new Inna Brayer. Eh....
• Brooke Burke (Wild On, Rock Star) and Derek Hough. She was really nervous but she did well last night. And she seems to have a brood — so she gets votes just for being a working mom!
• Comedian Jeff Ross, also known as TV's "celebrity roastmaster general," and Edyta Sliwinska. You can't miss Edyta — she always wears the skimpiest of outfits. I'm a much bigger fan of last season's comedian Adam Corolla, however. And Corolla was funnier on the dance floor. Remember the unicycle and matador mustache?
• Recently retired Super Bowl champion Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson. Kym is sweet. But I'm not a football fan so it's unlikely Warren will get my vote, unless he becomes an Emmitt Smith midway. Go dancing bear!
• All My Children Emmy winner Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani. Susan gets my sympathy vote but it's because I still feel bad it took her so long to get an Emmy.
O.K. so the dancers come back tonight for another round and then two couples will get kicked off Wednesday.
I'll take a guess (based on a who cares factor) for one couple: Ted McGinley and Inna Brayer.
The first guest recording artists to be booked are the Jonas Brothers and Jesse McCartney, both of which will perform on the Sept. 24 results show.

I don’t know how far back I go when recalling these things.  Before school years, but past the time of the smallish green house, with the sage colored walls, on the maple lined street, in front of the river, beside the cemetery; where they tell me we left when I was nearly two.  She would sit me down to make letters, on long, wide sheets of paper; and although I don’t remember her exact words, she would ask me for quiet in a memorable way.  And for several, nearly silent hours, that’s what we would do.
For long times, I thought our quiets were about her art, and her painting, because often she painted through them.  Many, many years later, I would learn more about her need for silence, or her not wanting noise of any kind at that time; when she began to change upon things I’d be too invisible to know.  They’re old memories of the youngest kind, where I can only really remember watching her in long spells especially her hands, with a brush, smooshing globs of oil into canvas just so, as to push petals out in simple, pressed swooshes that would blossom into flowers.  And knowing that her smallest brush came last, and was for highlighting green stems in the thinnest whites, which didn’t seem sensible at first, until she’d finished; and your eye tricked itself into seeing something different than the white.  She would lean back and tilt herself sideways to study it. And I’d tell her that it was the most beautiful painting I had ever seen.  She’d pause for a moment and smile at me easily, though I never felt she ever believed me.  Those were the very few times I vaguely recall any voice during the quiet times.  Back when she’d wear scarves in her hair.  And painted for days at a time.
I must have been quite small, stretching up to reach the tall banister to steady me as I carefully came down the long Victorian staircase to find her at the window seat in its landing; deeply unaware in that quiet of hers, intently working clear’ish paints that reminded me of jellies, into a stained glass window that she touched; and wondering why she had her smallest brush when there were no stems requiring white lines.  Then quietly moving past her to the other room, an old parlor, and edging myself behind the biggest couch that housed a secret hide out.  I kept a small collection of my things lined in rows there, and it’s where I kept myself out of the way.  It was mine alone, until one day asking my little brother if he’d like to come and play there.  He brought cereal and a puzzle; and we sat and smiled as we crunched on it while trying to be quiet, and not to be found.  I had made him swear never to tell we were there.  But I imagine she knew all along.  And it was okay, as long as we kept her silence.  We came to love the ideas of hiding, and having secrets, and the adventures in not being found.
I sometimes question the actual merit of the memories, old and simple, perhaps needless as they may be – they’re the vast quiets before the noise, and possibly even exaggerated by my mind and desires.  I’ll keep them anyway.  Why wouldn’t I?  Who in their right mind swaps calm for chaos?  And it was the trials that swallowed the time in, and left me forever in search of a new hiding place, where I could line my things in rows, and retreat to the privacy of mine, and somewhere calm enough to call a home.  Long after the noise demanded attention to her secrets and her denials, in the deafened defeat of a family governed by her impossible silence and her nearly unforgivable screams.  I learned to be voiceless, but never wordless.  She sat me down to learn letters.  And I taught myself to write.  And years later, when she’d find the words, she’d tear them to pieces and refuse to speak.  Until she changed her mind and shaped words into weaponry and sat me down to learn that her years of quiet weren’t good at all.  And indifference would come to anyone that dare recollect them as such.  I easily became her favorite hate.  I would, after all, refuse to embrace and remember versions she preferred to make wrong.  And she would leave the world denying me love or forgiveness, but I had memories to form into something I’d forge to resemble it.  Id steal it if I had to.  And of course, there were still the letters, the voice, the paintings, and the quiet.  And my father’s kindest affection and his easy voice, gently urging me. “Write.

I guess Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer really are getting back together. Star reports exclusively that the pair are getting hitched so it must be true, right?
According to rumor, this started with romantic e-mails Mayer sent Aniston a couple weeks ago, but she said that shed only take him back if they got married, and he agreed, a source says. They both know this is it. She wants to settle down, and finally, so does he. Theyve even talked about having a family, and John said that he couldnt imagine doing it with anyone but her.
Given reports of the couple expecting their first child, you knew it was a matter of time until reports of the wedding would begin.
Although I would love to see Jennifer and John get hitched and start on a, would be gorgeous family, I guess its going to take a few months and a real baby bump to convince me.

Brian from PimpMyBerry.Com has been on top of his game with his theme designs. Based on the Storm theme, he created Lightning Storm (cleverly named) using a sharp background lightning image while separating the bottom dock icons in a more spaced out fashion, which I like as it makes them more quickly identified. There are 3 different styles; Bottom Dock, Calendar and Today and I was impressed as usually Today and Calendar styles can sometimes look busybut these dont, they are rich and clean. Other nice features are that all dock items are customizable, and the message lists will change to whatever you have set on your BB. I really like how theme designers are trying to make themes more functional. Themes are FREE and available for 81xx, 83xx and 88xx series under the System Themes thread for your corresponding device at PimpMyBerry.
