OC Weekly. I felt Chris's voice was a little off. Chris was emphasing some of the notes in the songs differently. It could have been me but the excitement and electricity wasn't as elevated compared to the Forum show. The only moment were the intensity was matched was during "Viva La Vida". Here is a rough timeline of the events:

“Oh shit, could he have found a bumpier road to drive on than this?” She thought to herself as the Chevy meandered its way up and down the foothills in the hilly Missouri Backwoods. Although his HHR has a gentle ride suspension system, it was no match for the terrain and elevations in which the vehicle was traversing. In short it was a bumpy ride, and even more so for her. She sat, quietly, buckled in the front passenger seat, and trying to find any way possible to covertly divert the incoming shocks from the car versus pothole or other bumps. She sat with her hair pulled up, and wearing a long sleeved and comfy ankle length cotton dress, cinched with a two inch wide matching cotton belt. Light application of a conservative makeup completed the look.
It was what was underneath, and away from the public eye that excited him when he looked over at her. Her ankles were locked in soft leather cuffs, and each had an “O” ring on the inside of the ankle. The cuffs high enough and the length of the dress low enough to conceal them. A double ended clasp connector attached both ankles together, effectively hobbling her. No locks were applied or needed. She damned well knew better than to even think about touching any unlocked cuffs on her body. Up under her dress she wore a tightly fitted pair of latex panties. These panties were custom made just for her. She remembered going to the alterations shop to get her measurements taken for them. The confused seamstress wandered why all the particular measurements were needed in and around the waist, crotch and rear areas, but respected the privacy of the tall and rather attractive dark haired lady before her. She thought it best not to ask any questions, but rather simply take the detailed measurements and let this obviously embarrassed and polite lady get on her way. That was nearly two weeks ago.
This pair of panties was made of several layers of thick reinforced, high grade latex, and heavily boned with numerous steel stays. Her stomach, held stiff and rigid by the tight stays, made it impossible for her to bend at the waist. This effectively helped keep her sitting bolt upright, and unable to offer much of any resistance to the bumpy road which had its way of forcing both the smoothly ribbed dildo and butt plug attachments sliding slightly within her. This effectively deterred her from any unauthorized tampering of the laces. Her feet, however, were comfy in the very well padded and soft bottom shiny p.v.c. Mary Jane’s. She absolutely adored those shoes, and it was a safe bet to say they were her favorite girly shoes. The gel soles were soft and hugged the bottoms of her feet making them ohhh so comfy to wear. They were cute in design, a simple three inch chunky heel, with a little straps buckled neatly across her ankles. He opted not to lock them on today. Even he had to smile seeing how cute the black ankle strap looked over the white stockings.
She looked over at him as he drove. He didn’t notice it as he was navigating through some light traffic on the rural gravel road. She was slightly impressed to see him occasionally pull over and take out a hand held lensatic engineer compass, and a topographical map of the local areas. She sat in awe as he manually calculated their location by using the compass to shoot and triangulate an azimuth, and plotted the coordinates onto the map. Most other guys she knew would have just plugged in a GPS, like a Garmin. He was different, a little country, a little city, and very open to the world. Something about him struck her as fascinating. The thought of a romantic dinner, and treating her to a horse drawn carriage ride through the city at night sounded refreshing to him. St Louis; or the “Loop”, as the locals refer to it as, was a few hours south and west of where he was. Perhaps another time he could take her down there.
Realizing he had plotted a course leading back to the main thoroughfare, he snapped shut the cover to the compass, and rolled up his map replacing both in the back seat. After nearly three hours of bouncing her around, without the vibrators on, he felt her punishment was just and served. The main road back to the interstate was just about three quarters of a mile to the east. He decided to take it slow till then, and do the best he could to avoid any potholes. He also decided to turn on the vibe and plug so that the low and gentle vibrations would arouse her, and distract her mind of any potholes, bumps or other rough riding conditions. This did bother her a little; she loved the smell of that leather collar under her nose. She missed the feeling of the leather on her. The rigidness it provided was comforting in its own way to her. Without saying anything he reaches up to the dashboard, retrieves the two remote boxes and gives each one a singular click. The two intruders inside her begin a slow vibrating dance. Her reaction is instant, first a sharp breath taken in, and her closing her eyes. With her chin down and her hands flat on her thighs palms down she tries not to let the toys get to her. She realizes inside, however, that this is a fight she will most likely happily loses. Her anxiety about the plugs is interrupted by his touch.
She opens her eyes to see his in front of her. With the duty of getting his pet’s toys removed, and seeing to her comfort needs taken care of, he decides to take her back to the room for some well deserved spooning and rest. He’ll order in Chinese for them later. His plans on having a hot soapy and candle light bath drawn up for her. While she is soaking comfortably, he plans on being in the bedroom, setting up the room for them tonight. Maybe one more scene for her, if she can handle it, or has the strength left. He decides to play that one by ear, but in any case he knows that he will go to sleep spooning her.
As he starts the car and pulls back onto the road, he looks over to the right to see the scene has taken its toll on her. She is asleep, with a smile on her face, and dreams about him on her mind. Little does he know tomorrow is a new day, and she has been up to planning a little something for him. The items ordered online all having arrived this week, and hidden from him; she plans to dominate him in her own way tomorrow. He is completely clueless, and she finds that part about him so cute too. She dreams about tomorrow, and the fun she is going to have testing his endurance and senses. The sun begins to start its descent behind him as he travels back east to the state line. He thinks it’s going to be a long night tonight. He may be right there, but tomorrow will be a major test of his limits, and he hasn’t a clue.

PHILADELPHIA The University of Pennsylvania has announced the hiring of Rob Eiter as its head wrestling coach on Tuesday. Eiter, who has served as an assistant on Penns staff for the past two seasons, will be the 18th head coach in the 103 seasons of Penn wrestling.
s extensive experience in coaching as well as his accomplishments as an athlete have prepared him well for a head coaching role, Penns Director of Athletics Steve Bilsky said. We are excited he will take this next professional step at Penn, and his two years as an assistant in our program will serve him well.I cannot express how happy my family and I are for this opportunity, Eiter said. Penn wrestling has a long tradition, with more than 100 years of competition, and I look forward to continuing that tradition. I want to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Bilsky for allowing me the honor and privilege of coaching the young men that make up the Penn wrestling family. At the same time, I want to thank those young men for never losing sight of their goals during this search process and maintaining their positive attitude and work ethic in the room.
Over the past two seasons, Eiter has coached six EIWA champions as well as an NCAA champion and All-America in 2007 graduate Matt Valenti. Penn has won 24 dual meets in his two seasons involved with the program and sent 16 wrestlers to the NCAA Championships.

Original Post: Finally, Priscilla Queen of the Desert is set to become Queen of the stage! This week the film opens as a stage show at the Lyric Theatre in Sydney, Australia. The team hope that success in Sydney will ensure that the show ends up on Broadway and the West End.

I like Barack Obama. I voted for Barack Obama, but Barack Obama doesn't know college football. When Barry said (I'm going to start pushing early for a simple way of differentiating between good Obama ideas and bad Obama ideas. Good Obama ideas will be prefaced with "Barrack Said" and bad Obama ideas will be profaced with "Barry said". Agreed? Good) "I don't know any serious fan of college football who has disagreed with me on (having a play-off)" he clearly demonstrated that he doesn't know many college football fans. BCS vs. Playoff has become the Astro Turf vs. Natural Grass of the new millennium.

If we really want to get serious about fixing, refining, or replacing the current system we need to first establish clearly the essence of College Football. The structure of college football should enhance that essence. A good way to to that is by identifying the things we like and dislike about the BCS, and then divining some general principals from that.

Good BCS

1) The Current bowl system provides enough rewards to keep all 120 teams motivated during the season. Under a playoff season there would be at most eight post-season playoff spots available, and only a small percentage of teams would have a chance at earning a playoff spot. So what would the other teams play for? There are currently 34 bowl games, which means there are 68 available post season spots, which is enough to keep all but the worst teams motivated through-out the season. Maybe the International Bowl doesnt mean much to 118teams, but it means something to the two teams that are in it. Also, think about the economic benifett of 34 games, over the seven games we would have in a playoff system.

2) The BCS has preserved the importance of the conferences. Unlike all other major sports in the United States, college football is a regional sport. Those that point out the faults of the BCS conference fail to recognize this. Steve Spurrier once said he cares more about winning the SEC than the BCS. Spurrier was demonstrating one of the essential truths of College Football. National Championships are nice, but what drives the sport is a passion for being the biggest kid on the block, to be able to lord your supremacy over your friend sand neighbors. Who cares if your team is better than a team 1,000 miles away?


3) The BCS has also expanded the interest in regular season football. While Conferences still play prominent roles in the BCS, winning a conference championship only gets you into one of five games. To make the Championship Game a team has to out rank all by one other team. This encourages fans to not only watch their team, but to watch other teams in other conferences. This year a loss for Penn State was a victory for Florida and Texas. For that reason the national TV ratings for the College Football are up under the BCS system.


4) It does create a great game at the end of the season. Under the old system we never would have had Texas vs. USC, or Miami vs. Ohio St.

Bad BCS

1) The BCS is a compromise system that uses both polls and conference results to determine who plays in the big bowl games. This situation led to Oklahoma playing in the BCS championship game despite loosing to Nebraska in the Big 12Championship game in 2003. Its not important if Oklahoma deserved to play in that game or not. In fact its impossible to determine objectively if Oklahoma deserved to be there because the standards used by the BCS system contradicted each other.

2) A lot of bowl games just dont mean much to College Football as a whole.

3) The Polls are inadequate. The Polls currently used in the BCS don't have reasonable standards for membership and rules of conduct. Pollsters should have the knowledge and time to properly evaluate up to 120 teams every week, and procedures need to be in place to insure they are performing their job with a minimum level of competency and care.

4) Nobody understands the computer polls. When done correctly, advanced statistical models really do a good job of identifying a teams quality; you just have to have the right statistics to do so. There is currently too much mistrust of the computer polls right now, because no one has taken the time to understand them and explain them to the coaches, media, and fans. Bye the way, shame on you Pete Carroll for not understanding the computers. You're college football coach, its part of your job!

5) The conference formats are not the same. The fact the conferences very greatly in quality and format makes it very difficult to compare teams who have not faced each other.

6) The BCS has two sometimes competing goals; one, to determine a champion, and two to put together a fiscally successful exhibition. Combining this with the bowl alliances creates some un-compelling match-ups.

Shots taken with a Canon 40D hand-held, EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM at 17mm, f/11 at ISO 100 on SanDisk digital film. The HDR file was made from three RAW images tone-mapped in Photomatix Pro. All other processing was done in Lightroom 2 and in Photoshop Elements using Niks ColorEfx Pro filters. Click on the image above for a larger version.
 
As you can see from the image above, the image quality is quite good for a consumer grade lens and the image stabilization is superb. I was able to hand hold the three bracketed exposures that made up this HDR image by using the Canon 40Ds burst mode. This technique called High Speed HDR, really seems to work with image stabilized lenses like the EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM. Very cool indeed.

Now that over fifty golfing springs and fifty golfing summers have passed, and many of my detractors are no longer answering the muster, I feel the time has come for me to share some of the papers from an earlier part of the century.
Francis Ouimet has played down his last fairway, chipped up and holed out and gone on to the Great Greenskeeper. Now the Brookline Greens Committee of l913 ruling that
Ouimet, a mere caddie, had defeated Sir Henry Vardon and Ted Ray for the United States Amateur Championship and opened the doors for public golf can be held up for the utter folly it was.
We can also see what actually happened during the Prince of Wales famous round at Sunnyside and take some measure of Walter Hagen who was present at the match.
Along with these seminal works there are others, whose release is more appropriate now than they were at the time of my first letters.There are, of course, still others and perhaps in the years ahead, when hopefully we become more disposed to the truth than we are now, I will consider making them available to a small but select members of the faithful.

Nowhere in your journals do you mention Walter Hagen. Surely this is a mistake, for if any man deserves recognition for what he has done for the game of golf it is certainly The Haig. Sir, I understand you played with him. And sir, how can you have not included him at the top of your list of the games greatest players?

Dear Mr.Riley.
I played with Walter. Hagen at Sunnyside with Bobby Jones and the Prince of Wales. The Club roped the course off for our play and we motored around in the Princes Rolls Royce with the royal seal on the door and the royal flags flying. Between the greens and the tees we were served iced champagne and clever little cucumber sandwiches and the Prince and Walter regaled us with a goodly supply of golfing jokes and clever stories. It was a wonderful day and one I shall forever treasure.
As the chronicles reveal, Walter and I teamed against the Prince and Bobby Jones and the wager was whoever lost would serve the luncheon on the greensward fronting the club house. It was a brisk match and a happy one but at the turn when we were four up, I suddenly realized while the Prince would find it amusing toadying to Walter and I as a waiter and wine steward there was another more serious problem right before out eyes. For glaring out the club windows, which overlooks the ninth green, a rather alarming number of red-faced members were letting us know that while the Princes reputation could be compromised, The Club at Sunnyside could not. Wallter and I put our heads together and contrived to lose the match on the 18th green before the grateful members.
After the loss, with waiters towels folded over our arms, we poured the wine and served the food. Then, after clearing away the table and nipping off the ends of a brace of excellent Havanas and lighting them with a theatrical flourish for the victors, we opened a bottle of l850 Napoleon Brandy. Our happy foursome then turned as one, and raising a toast to the grateful members in the window we sang them a chorus of their famous Sunnyside drinking song.
